NiftyVideo Template upload-error  (Denmark)


Hey boys!

Really nice work,..

 

biy unfortunely I cant upload NiftyVideo Template module without having this error:

What does it mean?

Aha - methinks that is because it is not a module ;)

To install this, you need to FTP it to the Templates directory under your Repository folder under DesktopModules.

Then in the admin screen of the Repository module you will see your new template in the Template dropdownlist.

Let me know if you can't FTP - you can do it using DNN File Manager.

But... i cant find the "Templates Directory" aswell as "Repository folder"

The only folder I can find is DesktopModules at the root-directory..

I've tried to copy the files into that folder...  and after that i cant even see any  "Repository module" in the dropdown menu ADMIN... what now?

Sorry - may have mistyped - you should have this structure:

\DesktopModules\Repository\Templates\

You need to drop the directory under here.

Aha...

Thats why it is not working at me... I DONT HAVE THAT REPOSITORY folder... Arrr...

It seems like the problem is at me... I will re-install dotnetnuke and I willl check it after again....

it doesnt mean anything if I am using DNN 4 right?

Oh - ok - I see now - no - the repository module is the core module from here:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Default.aspx?tabid=830

I'm just wondering actually if perhaps because I had the original GoodDogs version if it may be a different folder for a clean install? You need to find the Desktop module directory that your Repository module is using, and then the Template folder underneath that.

Does this mean that you just copy the SmartThinkerNiftyVideo folder (in the zip file) to your \DesktopModules\Repository folder?

No, you need to unzip it first and THEN copy it - there is no installer for it as this is a subset of the Repository module.
